There appears to be some sort of snobbery directed against ladies’ football in this country. I believe it to be completely unfounded. The style of play is as good as anything you’ll see elsewhere. Come along and see for yourself. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

The last home game of the 2008/2009 season. Note: picture 0361 is an alleged ‘incident’ that led to Arsenal being awarded a VERY generous penalty.

An away game towards the end of the 2008/2009 season against Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Doncaster

The FA Cup Final of the 2008/2009 season against Sunderland, played at Pride Park, Derby.

Cup Final

In the midst of a wintry November, the Sun came out, and ALFC took on Sunderland at home in the Premier League. Result: 5 - 1.

Sunderland

March 2010: The ladies bow out of the EUFA Champions League at the Quarter-Final stage against the current title holders, FCR Duisburg.

Duisburg

The FA Cup Final of the 2009/2010 season against Everton, played at the City Stadium, Nottingham. For once, AFCL lost, so they’ll have to content themselves with just the two trophies this season.

Cup Final

A chance to show off the trophies, with a Premier League match at Highbury. Another reminder of what the men should be doing.

Highbury

The last Premier League match of the 2009/2010 season, and possibly the last Premier League match ever, played at Arsenal’s training ground in London Colney.

Last Match

May 2011:Another FA Cup Final. The ladies get back to their winning ways at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry, beating Bristol Academy 2 - 0.
